Overview: |
This module will equip the student to go through the process of sermon construction. Attention will be given to the preaching event as the oral culmination of sermon process, including the call for a decision. In addition, the module will aid the student in understanding the need for planning a preaching program. |

A minimum average of 70% equals Competency and a Pass in the Module.

Requirements:
- Attendance: A Student may miss a total of 2 classes in any course with Explanation and Without Penalty.
- Reading: All Lesson Materials MUST be read before coming to class. (Faculty Guide)
- Homework: All assigned homework MUST be completed and submitted online by Due Date.
- Journals: All journal entries MUST be completed and submitted online by Due Date.

Minimum Competency
- Ability to prepare and consistently preach sermons which successfully persuade people to become serious believers.
- Ability to prepare and consistently preach sermons which successfully persuade people to seek and find entire sanctification.
- Ability to organize, prepare, and deliver biblically valid sermons using skills and techniques in culturally appropriate ways.
- Ability to appropriately and consistently express pastoral care and concern for through a balanced and thoughtful preaching agenda.
Preferred Competency
(all the above competencies plus those listed below)
- Ability to identify and differentiate various approaches to preaching such as deductive, inductive, narrative.
- Ability to organize and prepare sermons using various approach.
